WELCOME

Neighborhood Centers Inc. keeps our region a place of opportunity for all who are working for a better life by building on the strengths that exist within all people and communities. Our proven model is based on the reality that people who have access to education and economic opportunity can achieve their goals and built vibrant communities from within.

Founded in 1907, Neighborhood Centers is the largest and fastest-growing human services organization in Houston, operating in 73 locations and working with more than 404,000 people each year. Initiatives focus on educational attainment, financial well-being, and engaged communities – creating enduring change that promotes individual independence, community stability and economic growth.

We seek long-term partners who share our belief in human potential and our vision of opportunity for all. We invite you to explore what it means to be a Visionary and help transform communities – for good.

Learn more about becoming a Visionary…

One of the best things about being a Visionary is the opportunity to interact with the neighbors we are privileged to serve and to learn about their challenges and successes firsthand. To share that experience on a broader level, we’ve begun a documentary film series entitled H-Town Stories, which premiered to a packed house at Sundance Cinemas on September 18. Photos from the event are below, and we invite you to watch the films by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
